Jeffrey Steen, DVM
Dr. Jeff Steen was born and raised in various places in the US and Latin America. After graduating high school in the Dominican Republic he moved to Columbus, Ohio to attend the Ohio State University. Dr. Steen received his Bachelor's degree in Animal Science in 1995 and his Veterinary degree in 1999. After vet school he completed a one year rotating internship at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital.
He was offered a staff position at Alameda East after completing his internship and jumped at the opportunity to make Colorado home. He has been a staff veterinarian since 2000 and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, specializing in Canine and Feline Practice. Dr. Steen has taken an interest in laparoscopic surgery and performs spays and gastropexies via this minimally invasive procedure.
He and his wife, Lori, have three wonderful children and share their busy home with their young lab, Jewela, and their Persian kitties, Smokie and The Bandit. Dr. Steen and his family enjoy all the wonderful outdoor activities that make life in Colorado so good - skiing, hiking, biking, fly fishing and backpacking.
